The Małopolska Chamber of Self-Government Foundation, together with the WSEI Technology Park, carried out workshops and a hackathon as part of the “Krakow Entrepreneurship Forum 2.0” project. The commitment of the Technology Park and the knowledge and skills of its experts have contributed to the high quality of events and the immense interest from the project’s target audience, namely future entrepreneurs. With full conviction and commendation, we highly recommend the WSEI Technology Park as a partner for collaboration.

With the WSEI Krakow Technology Park, we co-organized the Hackathon, which took place on December 7-8, 2017. As a result of the competition of four teams, we selected the winner of this Hackathon from the FoodTech sector. Together, we also conducted training workshops entitled “Sources of financing start-ups”. Cooperation with the WSEI Technology Park is fully professional. It is a reliable and trustworthy partner with whom we have already managed to organise several interesting events, and I am convinced that many more similar initiatives are ahead of us.

The technology park is an ideal bridge between studies and the work of a programmer. If you want to start working right after graduation, you may encounter a wall of skills required by employers and not necessarily discussed at university. Participation in the Park helped me supplement my skills with practical knowledge and experience from working with mentors on projects.

Technology Park is a pass to gain commercial experience, and it is an invaluable investment in your career. I was carrying out one of the first projects and my only regret is that it was in the last semester and not earlier. I am currently working for Bidroom with Maurizio Tripi as CTO who has spent half his life in Silicon Valley. I am still learning, developing and looking for opportunities, and I started in the Technology Park. I recommend it to everyone, because it will turn knowledge into practice!

I currently work as a Software Developer at Prescient Co., but I started my career at the WSEI Technology Park, where I had the opportunity to work on 3 different projects. I can definitely say that working at the Technology Park taught me a lot and, above all, gave me the opportunity to see what working on real projects looks like. I encourage you to try your hand at such ventures, especially those who are at the beginning of their careers and do not yet have commercial experience. It’s a great way to get a good start in your career and an entry into your CV.

I consider the internship at PT WSEI to be a complete bull’s-eye! I quickly found my footing in the new local environment and became a part of it. I have the opportunity to work on projects that use knowledge in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning, so I learn something new every day. The proximity of WSEI and the technology park is a great convenience. Thanks to this, in the event of a longer break between classes, I can use this time to create new things. In my opinion, there is no better place for a person who wants to combine studying at WSEI with a full-time job.

Cooperation between the Academy of Fine Arts and WSEI began almost a year ago with a proposal to create a joint computer game project. The reasoning was very simple – students of animation and graphic designers from the Academy of Fine Arts are great designers and have very interesting, original ideas, while WSEI students have very good education and qualifications in the field of computer science and game and application programming. With WSEI, we create a new quality at the intersection of the fields of art and programming. Of course, students have set goals and assumptions, but at the same time they communicate well with each other. We want them to draw on this experience after graduation. This will certainly allow the introduction of new quality and original solutions to the design of games or applications.

GC Media School Foundation, as the coordinator of the Małopolska Digital Education Initiative, cooperates with WSEI in the area of implementing educational programs and initiatives for modern education of children and youth. The potential of the academic staff and the WSEI students’ scientific circle effectively supports the organisation of scientific workshops for students.
